Winter ball!

     This weekend was Winter ball, when girls ask guys to a dance. I was really excited about it. The whole point about dressing up and getting all pretty is to go to the dance which my friends and I didn't even go to the dance. For dinner all 18 of us got a limo and drove into Boulder to have a delicious meal at Pasta Jays. Then after we were stuffed from dinner the limo picked us back up and drove around for a solid 2 hours. To me, driving around in a limo is probably the worst thing that we could of done. But, I tried to make it as much fun as possible. After the long ride in the limo we went to my friend Maria's house to spend the night. Hopefully my friends had a fun night with their dates as much as I did!

Journal #1

      Yes I believe because everything that happen is not on accident and god makes everything happen for a reason. I do think there is a path set for me for tomorrow, in a year, and even in 40 years from now. I believe in one god which is Jesus Christ. He knows the simple things that I do or anyone does everyday. God died on the cross for our sins and if he didn't even bother doing that, we wouldn't even be here or the things around us. Whenever we do something bad( a sinful thing) he is thankful no matter what you did or do. Whoever thinks of free-will I think is wrong because its all god who does it. I read the Holy Bible a lot and learn a lot of new facts about what god's is all about. I'm excited to see what he has planned for me in the future!

Why Writing Inspires Me

         I have learned a lot about my writing style this semester. The first couple journals that I wrote at the beginning of the year were really rough and bad. Throughout the semester I felt like I got a lot more confident in my writing. To really have a successful paper you have to have a lot of imagery in your writing and i really struggled with that. Explaining things in specific ways. Going into deeper details really help to improve your writing techniques. What my main problem was that I knew what to write about but just didn't know how to explain it on paper. The more we have written papers and writing in our journals I think improved my writing a lot more then what it was like at the beginning of the school year.

          As I said earlier, I can really improve on explaining my thoughts more thoroughly. My introductions really needs work for example "Halloween was this past week." This introduction sucks and if I was the reader in this situation then I would not be at all interested in reading this piece of writing with that boring introduction. Towards the end of the semester I used a lot more better introductions. "Later this week my oldest sister left to go Austin, Texas to attend college." This quote I think grabs and excites the reader more then the first one. I didn't care about writing when I first walked into this LA class but when I start learning knew tricks about writing I started liking it more and more. I am still going to improve my writing until this day on and will get better and better each day.  

          A lot of different things inspire me to write but what I write the most about would be settings like a beach or mountains. This imagery that I see everyday wants me to write. Describing the coloring and the main part that makes me happy about this setting. It draws memories to my head and how much fun I had. Another thing that inspires me is music. Music describes the feelings that we get when something good or bad happens. I connect to a lot of music if its about family, friends, breaking up with boyfriends in my prospective and how that you have a lot of feelings. Its makes me write about my feelings.
